I think the last time I witnessed croquet was 15 years ago in the backyard of my parent's house, my sisters and I practically golfed the balls around the grassy yard.... But last weekend at beautiful Meadowood, this was the real thing! H + R donned all white with their guests to bat around with a bona fide professional instructor and made quite a showing! How cool!

Cheers to Hardy Wilson for some of his great work here today as well!

Umm..can I say... ADORABLE!? Amanda and Ben are cute as a button. Make that two buttons. These two Napa Valley natives have relocated to Seattle, but came back home to get hitched this month. A great party in a cool wine cave on a VERY hot summer's day (100+ degrees??!). They were chillin'...all the while looking pretty sexy!

Nicole & Alon are TOO cute! After meeting them at Khara and Tony's wedding, I was so excited when they called up for baby photos. Nicole is SUCH a ham and quite a natural, we had a blast shooting all around their neighborhood in SF last month. Congratulations on the new arrival!

Little 10 month-old Oliver has got to be the best addition to an engagement shoot I've ever had! What a ham. Eric and Dede had a "family engagement session" in San Francisco last week and knocked my socks off with their vivacious energy, humor and love for the this little guy! Ben and Amanda brought the Seattle weather with them to their engagement shoot in Napa last week! The typically sunny wine valley was cloudy and brisk, but perfect light for amazing photographs! Seattle transplants originally from California, they were such a blast to shoot. I was lovin' Amanda's hot yellow pumps she pulled out for the second wardrobe change!!

Kurt and Nicole are straight out of a movie - make that a Disney movie. These music-loving Disney enthusiasts were married like you'd imagine any prince & princess would be. The setting was quaint and picturesque: a chapel built in 1901 on the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard...boasting the largest collection of Tiffany and Co stained glass windows in the West. I know as I write this they are probably squealing, hands raised, on their way down Splash Mountain while on their honeymoon in, of course, Disney World. :)

This November I traveled to one of the more remote places of the world: the Ukhrul District of Manipur, India. I was working with The Nehemiah Project - non-profit that exists to educate, care for, and treat pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS as well as educate and care for HIV affected children in Ukhrul.

Ultimately, the goal is to ensure every child born in Ukhrul has a life free of HIV/AIDS and a life full of hope.

India is a country of its own - I would never had been able to anticipate what I was about to experience.

Richard Feachem, executive director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS views India as “the decisive battleground” in the fight against AIDS, given its position as global trading center in the heart of the world’s most populous region.

Tim started The Nehemiah Project with the goal of to educating, caring for, and treating pregnant women living with HIV/AIDS as well as educating and caring for HIV affected children in Ukhrul.

The unprotected, the helpless, the truly innocent in this story are the babies born to women living with HIV/AIDS. Babies born to women living with HIV/AIDS are born without a choice and often without a chance.

More than 35% of babies born to women living with HIV/AIDS in Ukhrul will contract HIV/AIDS. Most of the children will not live to see their 5th birthday. Instead of a life of sickness and struggle.

Even as it moves into the general population, the HIV epidemic is misunderstood and stigmatized among the Indian public. People living with HIV have faced violent attacks; been rejected by families, spouses and communities; been refused medical treatment; and even, in some reported cases, denied the last rites before they die.

India is the next AIDS time bomb waiting to explode. It has the second-highest HIV-positive population in the world after South Africa, with an official tally of 3.5 million HIV-positive residents and an unofficial count of closer to 5 million.

This woman embodies everything that The Nehemiah Project exists for: she and her husband both being HIV positive, have saved their daughter's life by feeding her formula and prevented her from receiving the HIV virus. She is the beginning of many others that are choosing to save lives by setting examples for their village.

With the proper care and treatment the chance of a mother passing the virus to her child is virtually eliminated. There is great hope in this seemingly hopeless situation.
